Let me jump in here. I don't think that having a pot of hot oil or
cheese, at a superbowl party is a good idea. Perhaps my friends are a
little more rowdy then yours, but I see a disaster in have a pot of
hot something within reach of a bunch of football fanatics.
And to be truthful, I don't think Fondue is a guy thing. In the
seventy, my then wife, bought a fondue pot and invited friends, a
couple of times. The fussy way of eating, did not appeal to the men in
the group. Give them a steak or cheese, don't make them cook while
trying to watch a game.
