The tops get crispy and it's a hecuva lot easier than starting up the oven. Here are grilled portabellos: http://tinypic.com/jjsh86.jpg I did those for 10 minutes. Regular white mushrooms are good at 6 to 8 depending on their size: http://tinypic.com/jjskqv.jpg I am really sold on electric indoor grills! Saves electricity and effort. -- Om.
