Rotting. They go from green to yellow to past-their-prime brown.

I was just wondering why a pic of the closed donut box?
Might have been nice to open the box so we could see the donuts.

Anticipation! :-)

And today, there is ONE donut left! Problem is, if I put it out of it's misery, I have to throw out the donut box too

Great idea!

Fermenting! Once picked pineapple doesn't ripen, it immediately
begins to ferment/rot. Where you live the closest to field ripened
pineapple is canned. Same for melon. Many fruits are too delicate to
ship ripened. I can't grow pineapple here but I can grow melons and I
do, the difference between stupermarket cantaloupes/honedews and vine
ripened from our garden is like night and day. Since we've been
growing our own we no longer are able to eat stupidmarket melons....
they are as tasty as firewood.

No sane person is going to keep the freakin' box for one freakin'
donut unless they want to attract vermin.
Normal folk would put the last lonely donuts in a zip loc or wrap it
in Saran... but who thinks Kootchie is normal let alone human?

That's nothing, I can pull Carmen Miranda's Tutti - Frutti Hat out of my arse!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLsTUN1wVrc

The Lady In The Tutti Frutti Hat - from "The Gang's All Here", 1944

by Carmen Miranda

"I wonder why does ev'rybody look at me
And then begin to talk about a Christmas tree?
I hope that means that ev'ryone is glad to see
The lady in the tutti-frutti hat

The gentlemen, they want to make me say, "Si, si"
But I don't tell them that, I tell them, "Yes, sir-ee!"
And maybe that is why they come for dates to me
The lady in the tutti-frutti hat

Some people say I dress too ***
But ev'ry day, I feel so ***
And when I'm ***, I dress that way
Is something wrong with that?

Now...
Americanos tell me that my hat is high
Because I will not take it off to kiss a guy
But if I ever start to take it off, ay, ay!
Ay, ay!
I do that once for Johnny Smith
And he is very happy with
The lady in the tutti-frutti hat

(Some people say you dress too ***
But ev'ry day, you feel so ***
And when you're ***, you dress that way
Is something wrong with that?)

INSTRUMENTAL INTERLUDE

But still, seoritas, they are sweet and shy
They dance and play together when the sun is high
But when the tropical moon is in the sky, ay, ay
Ay, ay!
They have a different kind of time
And even I forget this time
The lady in the tutti-frutti hat

Americanos tell me that my hat is high
Because I will not take it off to kiss a guy
But if I ever start to take it off, ay, ay!
I do that once for Johnny Smith
And he is very happy with
The lady in the tutti-frutti hat..."

Really? I think we're all moody sometimes,
no matter the gender. I know I am.
