After a recent discussion about Kampot pepper, I ordered some to try.
The pepper mill finally empties so I filled it with the Kampot peppercorns. Conclusion: Yes, it is pepper. Perhaps my taste buds are not sophisticated enough to tell, but why good, I don't think it is any better than any decent black pepper. |

There are different grades of Kampot pepper, do you have the red and green types? I think it's better than the run of mill (excuse the pun) pepper out there. I've been to a couple of pepper farms there - there IS a difference in the taste, but whether it's worth it to you might be another matter. I don't use much dried pepper any more, we use the fresh green immature peppers, more like a vegetable really.
