we used to have a bonanzas here in the late '70's. now at that same location it's a red lobster. anyway, i didn't know until recently that it was owned by dan blocker. makes sense. the food there was not bad as i remember, although at the time i wasn't a fussy eater. anyway, what cut(s) of beef did they use for their steaks? i doubt anyone knows because it's so like long ago, but in case someone does know, let me know.

Here is an ad for Bonanza steakhouse:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nShQsUrOn_A I remember Bonanza Steakhouse in PA, but I remember Ponderosa Steakhouse also. The last Ponderosa I ate at was in Cincinnati in 2007 or so and at that point it was a lunch buffet, not sure if it was supper buffet also. Here is an ad for Ponderosa from the 70's: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDQMoBFXWG4 In the early 80's I worked for York Steak House, but they went belly up a couple years later, although I found out there is still one restaurant left in Ohio. |
