I have 2 toaster ovens. The big one is close to the size of your rotisserie,
16 in wide x 10i n high and 12 1/2 inches deep. The small one is 6 in high,
12 1/2 inches wide and 7 1/2 inches deep. I don't know what size your little
one is because it's listed in cm but it looks bigger than my small one. They
are all considered toaster ovens here.

But how is it for making actual *toast*? The ones I've had (granted,
decades ago; I don't think they'd invented Hot Pockets yet!) were more
like a small oven than a toaster. I didn't get much use out of the ones
I had (both of which were gifts).

I'm pretty sure I got my first toaster oven as a wedding present.
Didn't use it much. I don't make nachos nor do I ever buy pastry, so...
Toasted cheese sandwiches I do on the stovetop, in a small non-stick
skillet. Different strokes.

It was the toaster. I had already removed the slice of toast from the
slot. Perhaps a small piece of bread broke off and somehow got stuck to
the still-hot element. I didn't really have time to analyze it. All I
know is I saw flames and said to myself, "Well this isn't good." I
grabbed the baking soda and doused the fire.

And yes, I have a fire extinguisher in the kitchen. I didn't even think
about it, I just grabbed the baking soda.

I did frozen waffles for breakfast today in my B & D toaster oven and they
turned out perfect. After being in there about 2 minutes I turned them
and toasted another 2 minutes or so. They were perfect.

It makes great toast, not taking so long, usually ready at the same time as
fried or scrambled eggs are done. When I have bread, it's usually one
toasted slice, but it easily holds English Muffins and things like that as
well. I really don't care for Hot Pockets at all, but dh likes them for
lunch occasionally. Don't know when they were invented.

Our toaster is almost exactly in time with eggs. I crack the eggs and
drop the toast and withing 10 seconds of each other they are done.
Exception is rye bread, I hit the extra done button and start before the
eggs.

A long time ago I used to take Hot Pockets to work for lunch. I thought
they were OK. About a month ago, I bought a pack and now realize they
really are not so good.

Well, you asked what they are good for, not "What would I use one for?"

That's a grilled cheese sandwich, not a toasted cheese sandwich.

I cook one or two in my B&D slot toaster, then butter and add a
sausage link or two. Nice.

Lately, I've toasted just one waffle, buttered it then ate as a
tasty snack. No syrup on that snack.

wrapped in a rather heavy dough, microwaveable. I think they have other
fillings but the pizza type seems to be the most common. Convenience food.

I'm not opposed to all convenience foods but I never cared for Hot
Pockets. I'm not saying Cheri's DH or anyone else shouldn't like them.

I'm sure he would disagree. Nothing wrong with him liking them. I just
always found the dough too thick and the filling rather sparse. Then
again, I'm not a big fan of pizza sauce and pepperoni.

The pizza I make all have a thick base but plenty of topping.

It is his preference

Weren't those called Lean Pockets or something? Allegedly "lean"
because they contained vegetables? Maybe my memory is faulty.

I used to like the ham & cheese Hot Pockets. One of them was great for
a quick hot snack. The pizza ones are okay but while I love pepperoni,
it doesn't love me. It's about the only thing that gives me indigestion.

Seems like Hot Pockets used to have more filling than they do now. As
with many things, they got stingier with the filling.

The "broccoli and cheese" ones came in 2-3 dough
wrappers....plain Hot Pockets, Lean Hot Pockets and one more
kind....maybe croissant Hot pockets?

Haven't bought them in years but I'll look next grocery trip.
Heck, I'll probably go ahead and buy one or two boxes for old
times sake. I really liked them but one was just not enough for
me. One hot pocket just stimulated my appetite then I needed more
food.

That's why they come in boxes of two.

I don't think I've ever seen croissant-type Hot Pockets. For grins I'll
look the next time I'm at the supermarket.

You eat more than I do. No, that's not me being "superior". I'm just a
small person so my appetite fits my size.

Please do let us know if they've started skimping on the filling.
