Default Water. . . this is the best you can get

Find out how to improve your life.

Gluten free in bottles made by artisans. You can't do any better than
that. I need this since I already lead a pure life.

I wonder how many people get taken in with stuff like this.

Hmmm. Shades of the Pet Rock. Did you see the prices? $12 for a 750ml
glass bottle or a case of 24 500 ml bottles for $30..... plus shipping.

I was reminded of a bottle of water in a hotel in Lubeck Germany about
almost 20 years ago. It was a hot day when we checked in and there was
a bottle of mineral water sitting on a table next to the mini bar. My
wife was about to open it and have a drink but I read the take tied to
the neck of the bottle and it had a price on it.... more than $30. No
thanks. I don't pay that kind of money for water.

Would that team be Toronto Water, perhaps?

You know hotels will hit you up for anything like that, assume the worst
before having any. Though I did get a free cookie at Doubletree Suites.

I have been seeing a lot of ads of TV lately for miracle water. You get
a little plastic pouch of water and drink it and then miracles happen to
you. The scam is courtesy of Peter Popoff, a debunked faith healer. He
seems to be aiming at various. In one of the ads the people giving
testament to the wonderful things that happened after drinking the
miracle water were all black, and in another they look Filipino.

I expect to get gouged if I use the mini bar. This bottle of water was
sitting on table. It was in a tray with a couple glasses and right next
to the ice bucket. It most certainly looked like a complimentary bottle
of water. It's a good thing that I had a look at that card or it would
have cost me $30 which would have led to an angry confrontation at the
front desk about being misled into opening an overpriced bottle of water.

On a related note.... my wife's uncle used to a lot of business travel.
When in Rio de Janiero he was careful not to drink tap water. He drank
cold bottled water from the mini bar and still ended up with a wicked
case of the trots. It turned out that the maids were notorious for
drinking the bottle water and refilling the bottles with tap water.

Could have drank the water and refilled the bottle by peeing in it,
then repricing; $300... and hand it in at the front desk as payment
for your hotel bill.

Very sneaky.

They must have people yelling at them all the time about it. 30 bucks.
Blatant ripoff. I feel for the poor slobs at the front desk ... unless
they're the hotel owners.

I don't think I've seen water sold in glass bottles for some 40 years,
they're all plastic. Today most food items that used to be packaged
in glass are now in plastic.

I liked the photo of the "water vassals". The fact that
this pages "likes" the Dihydrogen Monoxide Awareness page suggests
that it's a joke.
