I'm not freaking but you see... YOU have a pantry! *I* do not. Nor do I have
a cupboard to put them in. They are taking up space on the counter so I want
them gone.

You artfully snipped the rest.

At the time when I bought them, I had all sorts of teens in and out of here.
It gets expensive to feed so many people. These were on sale for cheap so I
bought them. *I* can't eat them as they contain eggs. It's not like they
cost me a lot of money. I would just like the freezer space. I would throw
those out if I had to but my friend thinks her kids might eat them. So...
She agreed to take them if nobody here will eat them.

We do eat the frozen meats. I keep those in case I can't get to the store. I
have been finding good deals on fresh meat of late so no need to serve
those, of which I believe there are two packages.

That could be why the gardener isn't eating them. He has a really big
appetite.

As summer approaches there will be less cooking for me.

Okay... let's pretend that we believe that she accidentally bought a
huge bag of pecans. I know that things are different in Bothell than
they are here on Earth. Pecans are pretty expensive and tend to come in
small bags. I don't know how it is possible to accidentally buy a bag
that is so huge that someone could not fit it into the freezer.

Nor does she need to invent these situations with no apparent reason
other than to get the negative attention.

Go figger. She was looking for recipes so that she could use them up.
She can't store them in her freezer because it is full of hot pockets
that no one is going to eat. So now it is the pecans that have to go
instead of the hot pockets that no one wants.

It's all fitting together into the usual scenario of asking a question
and then coming up with a bunch of reasons to reject them.

It occurred to me that if it does that to your fingers it will stain
anything else it touches. I have issues with nuts, and walnuts are the
worst. I don't even like them. Disclaimer here.... I didn't come asking
for suggestions about what to to do with the black walnuts that are an
annual plague on my lawn. I leave them for the squirrels.

One of my black walnut favorites is black walnut ice cream. I may have to
give that a go this summer. My grandparents used to have several black
walnut trees in their front yard when I was growing up, and I have fond (or
not so fond?) memories of shucking those things with my cousins, aunts and
uncles who were only a couple years older than I. Grandpa had a good crew,
thats for certain. The trees are now long gone, and my grandma died last
week. Black walnuts will forever be associated in my mind with memories.

I will say it again! I didn't *mean* to buy the chopped ones. I wanted the
halves. We go through those very quickly so storage is not a problem. I
ordered them online. I do remember something going on at that time but can't
remember specifically what. I do remember constant interruptions. I think I
just clicked on the wrong thing. I had ordered two bags. Went through one
already and used them for sweet things but do not want any more sweets.
That's why I was looking for a savory dish. I have seen countless recipes
for pecan crusted chicken but all call for ingredients that we can't or
won't eat. Such as eggs and breadcrumbs.

Perhaps I will get some turkey and do a wild rice with pecans and
cranberries. That should work.

I think most of the people here can not read and comprehend. I *did* want a
huge bag of pecan *halves*. I put those on tossed salads. The chopped are
not good on this type of salad. I tried. The pieces are too small and get
lost in the salad.

I accidentally mail ordered two huge bags of the chopped. I went through one
bag making sweets. The people I gave them to are trying not to eat sweets
and I shouldn't eat them so sweets are out of the question. Of course I know
they can be used in candy, cake and cookies. But I have no need to make
those so was looking for ideas for savory items. I did make the salad that
Sanne suggested but it was far too sweet for my tastes.

We go through a *lot* of the halves which is why I wanted the large sized
bags. Makes no sense for me to buy the expensive small bags in a brick and
mortar store when I can get the large bag for not much more online.

In a nutshell... I screwed up. We all do at some point. At least I own it. I
screwed up. And... There is no point in my putting the nuts in the freezer.
I just want them gone so I can get more of the nuts that I *do* want.

OOPs... left out an important word.... Not. I did not ask for
suggestions.

I believe one of the recipes I suggested used dijon mustard to coat
the chicken breasts before rolling in the chopped pecans. Can you not
eat mustard either? I also suggested maple syrup.

Really, all you need is something kind of sticky.

You haven't been keeping up. The divorce is final. He's gone.

Go for two bags of the wrong sort of walnuts, and store them in a
nutcase.

Pretty sure you can get bigger still at places like Cash and Carry.

None of us like mustard and maple syrup doesn't sound good with chicken. I
know people eat chicken and waffles but... Doesn't appeal. Also, all of the
recipes I saw called for adding bread crumbs to the pecans. Will it work
without?

> Really, all you need is something kind of sticky.

Okay. I rarely do breaded foods. I used to make chicken for my husband that
was coated with sour cream and cheese crackers but he was the only one that
liked that.

How could you forget something that's not true? I cook raw chicken and other
meats all the time. Do I touch it with my hands? No. Fork, tongs, plastic
gloves...

Indeed. I'd put the Hot Pockets in the trash and put the pecans in
the freezer.
