Recently I canned some beef spare ribs to send to my brother in Afghanistan.
Had 7 jars total. One blew up in the pressure canner and today when I got ready to send them out 2 of the jars had loose lids on them. Figure I overfilled the one that blew up but don't have any idea what would 2 of them not to seal properly. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Steve |

My suggestion is that if you have to ask suggestions you leave the canning of meat products to the professionals and just buy it. There are way too many risks involved to make it worth your while, IMO. Goomba |

That could cause a seal failure. Ask at rec.food.preserving -- lots of experienced folks there. -- -Barb, <www.jamlady.eboard.com> Updated 10-22-04; Popovers!.
