Everybody sits behind a keyboard and claim anything they like and we really have no way to prove what they say is true. You claim to be a vegetarian but we cannot prove that you don't chow down on huge chunks of meat daily. |

The brands that I can think of off hand are Duncan Hines and Betty Crocker. I'm guessing that any cake mix in a box of around 16 ounces is pretty much the same. In the US, the boxed mix companies have converted many recipes to using the boxed product for a quick and easy approach. I think that if you have any recipe that calls for a pressed bottom crust of some short dough that would work. Janet US |

The Betty Crocker equivalent of the above would be for Vanilla cake: https://www.bettycrocker.co.uk/products/cake-mix And at minimum, I know Sainsbury sells some varieties of pack cake mix, too, under their own brand or Wright's. And Amazon UK has a full array of what is available. |
