Cake mixes are readily available in the UK.

The Betty Crocker equivalent of the above would be for Vanilla cake:

https://www.bettycrocker.co.uk/products/cake-mix

And at minimum, I know Sainsbury sells some varieties of pack cake
mix, too, under their own brand or Wright's. And Amazon UK has a full
array of what is available.

Boron and Janet, *if* you couldn't buy that cake mix, what would you make?

I am asking because I know you are good bakers
