The flush ceiling mount fixtures that I got were dimmable. Or isn't
that what you meant?

Simple, 2-wire programmable timers used to be readily available but are
now difficult to find. HDepot only stocks a 3-wire type now.

That's good to know. I guess technology wasn't there when had the
light over my sink replaced 6-7 years ago.

A friend did that to make her house here look lived in when they moved
to NYC 3 years ago. So far, so good.

Thanks. The dimmer they installed (and then removed) hummed when it
was dimmed to a certain level. The rest of the lights in the kitchen
are on another switch and dim, so I didn't stress over it and told
them on/off was fine.
