Not too long ago, at least here (here being the area where I live/shop),
this stuff was only available at a few places and rather expensive. Then I few months ago, I thought I was lucky to find it for cheap at Big Lots. But now? It's everywhere and it's cheap! I am happy. I can use it freely now. I love the stuff. |

I just use the canned stuff and if there's any left over that I can't use within a week or so I throw it out. The cans are only about $0.50 each, so it's no big deal. If I had a tube it would get lost in the fridge. Doris |

In the canning section of most stores, I was able to buy an item that is great for storing little leftovers. It looks like a silicone ice cube tray with a tight fitting cover. It's what I use to store my home made pesto. It has 9 square separate sections, and I can just pop out one section at a time. I also use it for the leftovers from a little tomato paste can. I leave it in the freezer. It's sort of like a Tupperware container with a rubber lid.

We wedge our tube in the fridge door, between the worcestershire sauce, the Crystal hot sauce, and a mustard or two. |

Small stuff falls to the bottom. Why don't you buy some baskets to use in the freezer? That way small stuff won't fall out and you can remove them to search for whatever it is you're looking for. > It would be a lot easier to find small stuff if we had a side by side design. My DD's house came with a side by side and they hated it. Got rid of it as soon as they could. They have a French door model with a freezer drawer now and it works for them. -- sf |

It's cool to be able to dispense ice through the door but next time I'm looking for an ice maker in the freezer - like God intended! |

It is for this very reason that I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that countertop icemakers are going to be trending! Refrigerators are going to get smaller but our need for ice will increase. These icemakers are going to be HOT!!! |

Large refrigerators won't fit in such spaces. My guess is that the refrigerator of choice is going to be the size of the one I have in my office which is similar to what you'd find in hotel rooms. People of the future will be eating out more and socializing away from their pad. They don't have much need for refrigeration. The small refrigerator doesn't make ice as we know it. Therefore, you're gonna need an auxiliary unit for making ice because they will have a taste for cold drinks. As they say, it's not rocket science. |
