Default Ping: Pepper grinder experts

My trusty grinder seemed to stop grinding recently, so I bought a new
one yesterday. Well, it too won't grind the peppercorns I have
here...the very same ones that /used/ to grind just fine.

So I can only assume the problem lies with the peppercorns I have.
They are fairly old, I can't recall when I bought them but suffice to
say, well over a year ago. Has anyone else struck this problem?
