I watch the Cooking Channel on occasion but it seems to mostly air re-runs
or shows I am just not interested. The best shows are still on PBS. I was
finally able to see Jacques new show and also his birthday show. Alas, the
ones I want to watch always seem to be on at times when I'm sleeping or not
around.

Dave, the current season...ended Sunday night, I think...just had ordinary people
who couldn't cook at all, not a celebrity among them.

They did do at least one celebrity season earlier, though. You must have been
watching an old series.

I'm thinking I should send them my ex-DIL - never knew a person who
was such an awful cook, really made no difference what she cooked. Not
just being nasty about an ex. she even acknowledges it herself.

When they were still married and my son was with the Fisheries Dept.
he came home with a beautiful chicken halibut (small whole halibut)
straight from the sea, to die for. I certainly nearly killed her, she
phoned and asked us over and asked me how to cook it. Butter dish,
place fish in dish, squeeze some lemon over, hot oven, 20 mins tops.

We were served an incinerated mess - couldn't tell it had ever been
halibut, she claimed it would have been raw my way Thankfully my
granddaughter is a great little cook, got it from her dad

It's in it's 8th season. I watched part of the 2nd I think, maybe two
episodes. The wife and I were flabbergasted, who would want to watch
this? Train-wreck fans, I guess.

The ones I hate are the various cake ones. Cupcakes with weird ingredients
or giant cakes that they have to carry to another place without dropping
them. *Yawn*
