Default Pati's Mexican Table

And yes, her voice still bugs me. The other day she had a sister, her boys
and her mom on the show and all spoke normally although Mom had a bit of an
accent. But on today's episode she is doing Mexican comfort food. Says she
grew up in Mexico City and this meal often greeted her when she got home
from school. And what did she make?

Chicken Milanese! Yes! Thinly pounded out chicken breasts that have been
coated in a mixture of eggs and milk, then dredged in seasoned bread crumbs
and pan fried. She added her own seasonings to the crumbs. This was served
with mashed potatoes which she is making now. Red potatoes and she is
putting in scallions. She said you can use other onions too. She is
putting pickled chipotle peppers in there.

Also served with green bean salad. Not sure if she will be showing that or
not. I looked up recipes and they mostly seem to be the same. Beans,
onions, olive oil, chili peppers, cheese, tomato and a few other things.

So, this is interesting. Not something you'd normally see in a Mexican
restaurant.
