I discovered how to do this cheap:
http://www.chefsteps.com/activities/...at-you-ll-need I wasn't gonna do it, but what the heck, I'll give it a shot. What made it possible is, not having to spend hundreds of $$$$ on sous vide circulator or even a quick-read thermometer. ChefSteps sez this one will do, plus it's on sale at Thermoworks.com: http://www.thermoworks.com/products/.../?tw=CHEFSTEPS .....less than $18 shipped! Don't buy from Amazon. They are unavailable. But, can still get 'em from Thermoworks. I jes ordered. I already have an infrared temp gun, 2 food bag sealers, and a boatload o' zip-lock bags. I'll let you know how it goes. ![]() nb |
