What have you heard about it that is so bad? It is not high
fructose(?) corn syrup. It has been around since I was a child and
that has been a long time. Obviously it is very sweet but you aren't
planning to eat it by the cupful are you? It is a pretty necessary
ingredient in things like pecan pie.

If we had an idea what you need it for we might be of more help. Some
of the other sweeteners have fairly strong flavors that you may or may
not want in what you are making.

Thank you, Susan. I had been looking at some of MrD's recipes which
included it and was unfamiliar to me.

That's about the best explanation I've seen for corn syrup, Susan.
Absolutely it depends on what she plans to use it for. I haven't seen
any indication of why she wants corn syrup.
