A guy in the appliance dept. was in medical school. Lots of people went there as a temporary job. If you are out of work and they are hiring, then it's better than nothing. And back in the day they were a very good place to work. Not so much for an hourly wage but very good benefits. I didn't pay a dime OOP for several years for medical. Nada. |

I have been working since I was 12 but things like babysitting and dishwashing at the church don't really count. I also worked at the community theater but not for pay. My real jobs were at an inventory company and another store. It was a job that suited me. I am a people person and at the time when I worked there I was very active. Although part of my job required sitting at a desk, sitting at a desk all day is not for me. I liked to get out and interact with people and also do physical things. For as much as many parts of that job did suck, I also looked forward to going to work. |

Once you get out in the real world, grades only indicate a potential for that first job. After that, it is ability to perform that matters. I have no degree other than HS but I have *experience* that sells and the ability to explain it. -- |
