![]() I made that cabbage and noodle dish I mentioned earlier today. It's the Eastern European recipe called Kaposzta Teszta in Hungarian (I ate it at a restaurant in Budapest with roast duck) or Haluski in Polish (which I've read about here). I didn't get fancy, no caraway seeds and I cut down on the total amount of butter, substituting olive oil for part of what I used and reducing the total amount. It was delicious! I told hubby it would have been even better with more butter, but he always <*jokingly*> tells me I'm trying to kill him when I use a lot of butter. He is a cabbage lover and what I did bowled him over. He couldn't stop telling me how much he liked it + I got a kiss and a thank you every time he walked past me. Love is still alive after 40+ years. LOL ![]() -- Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them. |
