It was written by a guy named Gary Taubes, for the NYT Sunday magazine. The cover image was of a large t-bone steak, with a pat of butter melting on top. This was about a dozen years ago. It caused a huge outcry, not the least from one of the NYT food editors, who blasted the article and the author as being completely irresponsible, and perhaps even criminal, for even suggesting that fat might not be a problem. My, how times have changed. |
