Default Relocating Publix

OMG. My grocery shopping world is going to be disrupted! <G>

They're building a new, bigger (better?) Publix. They've broken ground
in the area next to Barbara Jeans restaurant. Although from the map
below you could say it's going to be behind Steamer Steak & Oyster House.

This map shows where the current Publix is located and where the new one
will be:

or

They're basically moving across the street.

The new Publix will be a 54,000 sq. foot store rather than a 37,000 sq.
foot store. Alledgely the improvements will include a salad bar. That
must be one hell of a salad bar.

I don't know what things will be like when they're done. Looking at the
map, yikes. Turning left at that intersection (it's the main
intersection on Lady's Island) *already* sucks.

There's no telling what will happen to the existing Publix building.
Ah, progress.

Jill
