FWIW, I just looked up who makes the Walmart Low Sodium Bacon: Tyson
out of Texas (USDA Establishment #2269).

Their Thick Sliced Bacon is made by Plumrose out of Iowa (Est #20722).

Note that Walmart may get their bacon from different suppliers in
different markets. And they are free to swap their suppliers around
at any time based on who can give them the most inferior product for
the cheapest price. This is why I don't trust any reviews that rate a
Walmart "Great Value" product - such as their Extra Virgin Olive Oil a
few years ago. They probably change suppliers every year or two.

This is true of most generic and store brands. Most are good, some not
so much and yes, they do change suppliers. Same with restaurant and
fast food chains. They strive to be consistent, but they may source
coffee and condiments from many places in different regions.
