As for the whey waste, it is used in a few states as a de-icer. Or it was a
few years ago. People with dairy allergies were furious over this and may
have put a stop to it.

I pretty much knew the rest of the stuff. But now I want to see the
sinister message on Brittney Spears' grocery list!

OJ only happens in this house when ALDI has oranges cheap. No bottles or cartons.

Inferior ice creams like Ben & Jerry's have carageenan. Haagen-Dasz does not.

Artificial coffee creamer isn't fit to slop a pig with.

Microcrysalline cellulose is not unhealthful, but it does affect the mouth feel
of unmelted shredded cheese.

Agrees with you on artificial creamer, but there are people who really
like it. A niece stayed with us for a week and I could not talk her into
using Half & Half.

Wish you lived closer, I would bring you some valencia oranges, we
bought a 50-lb bag for $8 when we went to the Rio Grande Valley. I
divided most them up between two refrigerators, I was afraid they would
spoil before we could use all of them.

I could cope with most of those because what they are saying is just silly,
BUT that hot dog thing made me want to throw up! I am so glad I don't like
hot dogs

I know that many/most processed meat contain sludge which is why I usually
make stuff from scratch. They need to make every speck of meat count
moneywise.

Really? Yuck) The most processing my meats get is through my grinder and
even then I like a large holes screen

lol When you say 'have to' do you not mean 'want to' because that is how
they make their money?
