I find THEGOODCOOK.COM to be an excellent online source. What I don't
like, I just paste the carton, and have the mailman deliver it back at
their expense.

You can choose not to have their monthly selection delivered online.

Neither. We buy equally from ethnic markets, used bookshops/charity
shops, library sales, street markets and are given books and cookware as
gifts etc.

For books try www.amazon.com For home-cooking equipment www.cooking.com is
fine. Especially check clearance items of well-known manufacturers on web
sites. You can find some very good deals and if you can wait, postal
delivery can save additionally on shipping.

For cookbooks, http://www.ecookbooks.com
For equipment, amazon.com, ebay, chefscatalog.com and some knife sites like
knifeoutlet.com
For ingredients, penzeys.com or bakerscatalog.com (King Arthur Flour, also
has some equipment)

These have worked for me.
