I'll wave as you pass if you're starting out from downtown. I'm right off
the highway/river in the east 70's and when I step out my front door and
turn my head to the left I usually see a boat appear and sail/float out of
view as it passes by my dead end block!

The red Hell Gate Bridge is one of my favorite NYC bridges!
