Actualy, now that i think about it, that does make more sense.

He learned his passive aggressive behavior somewhere apparently hes no
different than a school boy victem at his adult version of his playing
out of his early training.

Apparently his 'navy' trianing didnt do much for either his self estieem
or his sence of duty and discipline.

To chose in this medium to come across as a raving lunatic seems an odd
choice to me, even if i felt as strongly as Sheldons SCREEMING implied
he does, even if it were an act a conscious choice of style, why choose
to play that role? What makes a person think an unpredictably rude
