All the best wished to all.
I am all set. I was a little worried yesterday when my son called from Montreal an hour after his train was supposed to have left and he didn't know if he was going to make his connection in Toronto. It might have been hard to get up to the bus station and catch a bus at the last minute but he said he would call from there to let me know whet was going on. He finally called after 6 to say they had held the train but it would be about an hour late. Meanwhile, it was snowing and the roads were getting bad. I had supper ready to go into the oven and headed off to pick him up. The train finally arrived and we made it home just in time to eat. So it is good to have the kid home for a few days. I had to run out and pick up some ground pork for tonight's tortiere and I dropped him off at his friend's house so he can visit before we go to my brother's party tonight. Meanwhile, my wife went out to pick up the fresh turkey. It has warmed up here. The snow is melting fast but there is enough to ensure it will still be white tomorrow. We are good to go. |

We're in no danger of losing our snow cover any time soon, but there's a very light dusting of snow coming down now. Just enough to freshen things up a bit and add a little sparkle to the landscape. We're taking it easy today and tomorrow. A nap, some gift wrapping, and leftover sloppy joes from Monday. Merry Christmas! Carol and Crash |
