As little as 5 years ago many folks in the south had no idea > what iced coffee was and the same was true for sweet tea in the > northeast. Hmmm, I had not thought about that. Do northerners now drink iced tea year round as we do in the south? I remember when I first came down here, I had to remember that "tea" meant "iced tea" and if I wanted it hot I had to order "hot tea" and if I wanted it unsweetened I had to ask for "unsweetened tea." I just tried the starbuck's iced coffee because it was there, cold in the cooler by the checkout, and I was dragging tail. |
