Default Chefs off the hook!

I finally watched an episode of Top Chef. WTF!?

Contest is "tailgating". Poached pears w/ creme fraiche?? He's lucky
someone didn't put a bbq sauce covered bullet through his head. And what's
with the potato/parsnip puree fetish? Seems to have replaced the raspberry
coulis craze of the 90s.

I swear, I watch this program and the pretentiousness is enough to gag a
maggot. They throw out French terms I never even heard from Escoffier.
Where's my French->English dictionary? I guess it's basic in-house-conflict
reality tv at its worst.
