Well the question isn't whether to get something or NOT
get something...... as at the very least I WILL be
getting a small freezer

the question is... whether to get a stand alone freezer
or to get another fridge that will allow extra freezer
space as well as fridge space

Ok but what abt refrigerating instead of freezing?

You see....with a second fridge I would have extra
fridge space as well as extra freezer space

Only you can decide that, based on what your needs are. Either option is a
good one, and there are trade-offs with each.
