I've been looking at the Hamilton Beach 936, and the Waring DMC20. Does
anyone here have experience with either? It will mainly be used for making
milkshakes.
I'll appreciate any recommendations.
Thanks, Dave

I have an Osterizer 16 speed blender with all kinds of settings that works
great for milkshakes. It has an ice crusher and frappe setting (which I use
when I get cravings for milkshakes). I have a Hamilton Beach Chef Prep food
processor which I use for slicing vegetables, fine dicing and pureeing items
for cream soups.

I'd use the Osterizer for "drinks" as in milkshakes, frozen daquiris, pina
colada's, etc. simply because of the ice crushing setting. It has metal
blades and a glass blender container. I had another blender for a couple of
years (I think it was a HB) with a plastic container but the container
eventually split down the side.

I'm not familiar with the Waring products.

Hope this helps a little.

Jill

Hi Dave,

In my honest opinion, if you're only going to use an appliance for one
recipe it's not worth the money. What I mean is if you have a blender you
can make great milkshakes and it still has many uses for other recipes.
Just a thought only worth 2 cents.

Take care,
SPOONS

SPOONS,
I agree, a blender will mix a milk shake, but it doesn't do it well and the
clean-up makes it almost not worthwhile.
Thanks for responding,
Dave
