Default Bread machine question

Do they make bread machines that retract the mixing/kneading paddle to
avoid that big irritating hole in the finished loaf? If so, do you use
one? How well does it work? Make and model? Approximate cost?

I've heard of removing the paddle after the last kneading but I am often
not home when making bread or I am busy elsewhere and miss that magic
moment.

TIA
