Default New RFC website survey: Trick or tread

http://www.recfoodcooking.com/

Vote now!

This one was suggested by -L. (but I wrote it up <veg> - so you can
throw your left-over candy my way, by way of punishment if you don't
like the survey LOL).

Oh, and judging by the Survey about the surveys - the people who voted
decided on twice a week, albeit by a very narrow margin So here's the
plot:

I will post one on Wednesday's or Thursdays - and another one at the
weekend... However, if the topic seems "popular" I will leave it for the
week. I hope that suits (most) people?

Very kind of you to say so, Michael... I am quite happy with the twice a
week thing, as people seem to vote for 2 or 3 days and then lose
interest anyway.. I have set it up so I can "capture" the surveys in
advance and just "activate" them when necessary, so I can do them when I
have a bit of spare time... Glad you like them, BTW and thanks for your
suggestions too - they will be coming up one of these days LOL. I am
doing the "lottery" thing now, as I have had several good suggestions
from various other people too, so I will just have to "pick one out of
the hat"

He somebody answered "yes, it is just an excuse to eat candy" AND "no, I
don't need an excuse". So the person dared answer on behalf of other people?

For years I've put out "CRIME SCENE--DO NOT CROSS" police tape around the
yard.

More to steer the goons and goblins to the door rather than crossing the
actual crime scene.

Once again a flawed survey. "Do you celebrate Halloween?" should
have had a "none of the answers apply" or "can't answer because my
answer is not listed".

I *love* Halloween. However I haven't celebrated it in years.
I used to dress up and go trick-or-treating until I was in my
mid-twenties. I would have continued beyond that but it was
hard to find anyone to go with me. Nowadays I don't even give
out candy to the kids as I can't afford to buy the candy and
I don't have the energy to deal with the whole thing. I also
do not throw Halloween parties or attend any. I can't afford
it and I don't have the energy and can't afford the money
to make my costumes. (I have always made my own costume since
I was in my early teens.) If I could retire and win the lottery
or something one of the first things I'd do would be to start
celebrating Halloween again. I miss it. :-(

We don't celebrate it - and I don't know many people who do - its no
'big deal' in this country. Sounds like it could be fun tho'.

I love that so far, the majority don't need an excuse to eat candy...
<lol>

We never get trick or treaters on our street anymore tho'. They all hit
the one street in town that seems to have yard decorating competitions
for both Halloween and Christmas!

Wow - that's sad. Had I known, I woulda sent you some candy! We got
off cheap this year - Dollar Tree had candy 100 pieces/$1.00 and 50
pieces/$1.00. We got enough (hopefully) that each child can have 4
pieces.

I've celebrated Halloween all my life... I always have a pumpkin, and I
always have some decorations, I just don't bother with the costume
anymore. What's missing from the survey is a question concerning if
anyone cooks anything special fo Halloween, I always bake something
with a Halloween theme, usually something gingerbread.

The results need to be archieved so folks can go back to refresh their
memory. And I'd like to see an option for those who are willing to ID
themselves with their voting (I would), only because I strongly suspect
that quite a few are deliberately voting in such a way as to skew the
results.

The results *are* archived... if you look at the "drop down" list on the
results page, the results of the previous surveys are there...

I love your surveys, well done.... twice a week is fine by me. On he subject
of
halloween, my DS is 5 this year, and it's the first time he's wanted to go
trick- or-treating!
Past years, he's prefered to hand candy out to all the other kids. So I'll
be out shivering
with him in his spider man costume (He doesn't want to wear anything too
scary!). He has to be
home for 7.30 though, as I have to be at work for 8! I'm working nights for
the next three months
so lucky me will be on nights 25th December! At least I have christmas eve
off, and the whole
week before that to prepare!.
I was looking at spandex/lycra spiderman costumes for DH and myself, but at
£23 p & p I think
we have a good excuse not to dare. That would be scary!!!

I did that, but with so many votes already counted, no one could have
figured it out.

It *IS* just an excuse to eat more candy, but *I* don't need an
excuse. ;-)
