Get something to use as a log book. Get a meter. Test before and after eating. See what works for you. If you don't have one, get a book that lists food counts. Particularly the carbohydrates. Some fruits such as bananas and oranges have more and faster acting carbs. So these are good things to eat if you have low blood sugar and need to raise it quickly. But not good to eat every day. Ask your Dr. to hook you up with some diabetes education and a dietician. |
