I have this posted on our refrigerator door, to give shopping hints to my
wife and daughter. Not everything may work for you. Adjust your portions to your lifestyle and meter. Vegetables & fruit that are good for Nick/Dad (with parenthetical notes): March 31, 2010 Artichokes asparagus Avocados bean sprouts beet greens Beets (1/2 cup max.) Bell peppers - (no thanks) Bitter melon (Yeah, baby ! ! !) Blackberries (not many) Black soybeans (?) Blueberries broccoli - (NO thanks!) Brussels sprouts cabbage Cantaloupe (1/2 cup max.) cauliflower - (NO thanks!) celery Chile peppers - (any kind!!!) Cilantro Collard greens (Yeah, baby!) Cranberries (not too many) cucumber daikon eggplant (Yeah, baby ! ! !) Fennel Garlic - (did I say Yeah, baby ! ! !) Ginger Green onions Kale Leeks Lemons lettuce (Not Iceberg, please.) Limes marrow squash (not much) mushrooms (any kind!!!) Mustard greens (Yeah, baby!) Okra (Yeah, baby!) onions (1/2 cup max.) parsley Parsnips (1/2 cup max.) Peas (1/2 cup max.) Plums (How much? Not much, I think.) Pumpkin (1/2 cup max.) radishes Raspberries (not many) Red potatoes (1/2 cup max.) rhubarb - (please cook it!!!) Rutabagas (1/2 cup max.) seaweeds (any kind!!!) snap peas (not many) snow peas (not many) spinach (raw or cooked) squash (1/2 cup max.) Strawberries (not many) Sweet potatoes (1/2 cup max.)
