Default I was bad and now I'm paying for it!

I have some Barry Callebaut chocolate chunks (meant for baking) that I got
for Angela. She doesn't like them because they are very bitter. She will
eat them in the granola bars I got for her, but not by themselves. I had a
craving for chocolate and decided to have some. Had another hypo last night
even though the dinner I had (we ate out) seemed a bit larger than usual.
So I figured a few bites of chocolate between dinner and bedtime insulin
wouldn't hurt. But it is affecting my GERD. Owie! It was good though!

There's no milk in it. I'm allergic to milk. Chocolate is known to cause
the esophagus to relax or something and it allows stomach acid to come up.
Bad. Really bad.

So true there. My hubby, who isn't diabetic, can't have chocolate in any
form after early afternoon. GERD so bad he can blow flames.
