Lee, cattle naturally are meant to eat GRASS. Grain is not their favorite,
or their natural food. They will eat it if they are hungry. It is
because of grain feeding that cattle develop these strains of e-coli that
are so deadly. It has to do with the acidity of their stomach. Read the
"Omnivore's Dilemma" as Susan suggested. It is a huge awakening. Just
because you have been doing something for years, doesn't make it the best or
the right or the only way.
