Default Thrift store score - vitamix

A couple weeks ago, I was at a thrift near my house (StL), and it was
25% off day. In the electrical stuffs area, I saw a small, all chrome
blender with the words Vita-Mix on the front in a black label. Model
516. The chrome jar was there, but where the handle was to be was only
a black nub. As I was looking it over, a lady who worked there started
to take it away, saying she was sorry, but she had to pull it from the
shelf. When I asked why, she said the jar had gotten knocked off and
the handle broke, showing me the handle already in her hand. I looked
at it and the blender, then the price, and told her I would be willing
to pay half price for it in its current state. She shrugged and said
she would ask the boss. Lisa, the boss (and a friend of mine) said OK,
so I scored a model 516 - Papa Benard Vitamix blender from the 1940's
era for $3.23.

Not sure I really need it, but I could not let a vitamix go to the
garbage simply because the handle broke.

I am willing to entertain offers for this is anyone wants it. It does
work quite well, although it is weaker than my model 3600. If only for
show, I do have the broken handle, and it could probably be reattached,
but I wouldn't lift anything with that handle.

If no takers, I will find a nice place to display this. It really is
nice looking.

I have a few questions, do you still have this model? Also if so does the label read Vita - - - Mix? Or is there a circular orange label that says Papa Barnard on it?
