I bought a couple for the parts (pans and paddles). Not only do I use them for making bread, but for kneading dough for pizza and stolens, and they work quite well. If I need any kind of custom control on the kneading for a non-bread machine backed good, I switch to my stand mixers (both kitchen-aid in my case, but there are several good competing brands). Unlike bread machines, however, I almost never see a high end stand mixer at a thrift or garage sale. Occasionally at an estate sale, but even that's rare. Hope this helps. jt |
