Default electric smoker question

Hello I've been smoking on a side firebox
charbroil from Home Depot for about a year.
But I get tired of refilling the coals sometimes
during the ball game and I started to look at
some electric smokers.
I found some that advertise as "insulated"
and "sealed" to prevent drying of the meat.

My question is .... do these type smokers release
smoke thru a vent or are they in fact sealed?

None are completely sealed. What they have is a fixed size
vent, usually a single hole in the top of the cabinet. This
is one of the major disadvantages of this type of unit because
you can't vary the draft.

Check out the Electric Pro Smoker from Cabelas.com, It is a great unit
built by the Masterbuilt Company. I have been using one for almost 2
years and it is fantastic. Feel free to write me direct if you need
some more info on it. Masterbuilt makes a great electric smoker and the
temp is adjustable. If you are satisfied with the results of any cooker
you use that is all that is important. Mike
Thanks!!!
