Thrill of the grill
Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, but it's hardly the last
chance to chow down on grilled steaks and vegetables.

Just one quote:
"Barbecue is more of a stewing; it's a whole different cooking process. You're
literally taking a tougher kind of meat or poultry and simmering it in a sauce,"
Mr. Stuthmann says.

Uh Huh1

"I'm gonna stretch it as far into the winter as I can," Mr. Dennis says of
his grilling. "I like that [grilled food] smell in the wintertime."

I dunno about you Americans, but up here in Canada I keep bbqing till the
propane is to cold to flow :-p

Propane? That's only used to light the lump charcoal when I'm too lazy to use
the chimney.
12 months of barbecue a year is probably enough, anyway.
;-)

BOB
who thinks those pictures from *north* with a smoker chugging along in an island
of water surrounded by snow look really fantastic (but wouldn't want to be
there)

I live in Minnesota and I Q year round too. Though in a very cold
period (below zero degrees) would rather make a batch of stew, chili or
spaghetti sauce indoors.

Happy Q'en,
