Default wine too sweet

Can you put lemon juice or something to start the drying process
again? I bought some wine which sugar was added to, what is the world
coming to?

Adding lemon juice isn't going to make it any drier. If you want to
make it dry, you'd have to start it fermenting again, which is a lot
of work for one bottle.

My advice is to serve it to someone who prefers their wine off-dry.
