Default cork sizes

Hello all.

The recent thread on labels and corks raised a question. My stock of
empties is a hodge-podge collection, with top inside diameters ranging
from 17 to 19.5 mm.

My first recent batches are nearing bottling. What size corks should I
use on the smaller openings?

I plan to seal some (half of each batch, for keepers) with cloth patches
and wax - this worked so well on my efforts 40 years ago.
