Default 2004 Niersteiner Spiegelberg Muller-Thurgau Kabinett Julius Clauss

I just posted a review of this wine he

http://daysthatendiny.com/entry.php?entry=281

Admittedly, this is partially a shameless plug for my site Days That
End in "Y" (http://daysthatendiny.com). However, it's mostly to ask if
anyone else is familiar with this wine, so I can compare notes. It's
the 2004 vintage of Niersteiner Spiegelberg Muller-Thurgau Kabinett
Julius Clauss.

I thought the wine was horrible. It mostly smelled and tasted like a
riesling, but it also had this rotten smell and taste to it, especially
the really nasty aftertaste. It kind of reminded me of a dirty sock,
and I began to gag. However, I'm unsure as to whether it was just that
bottle or if it was the entire vintage. I have another bottle of it,
but I'm reluctant to open it up right now to compare. Also, when it
comes to wine, I still feel like a novice, so it's appreciated to have
more expert advice.

Thanks!
