Default "Sideways" Let's put it to rest.

Hi all,
Soon to be married groom and friend tour the wine country.
Groom $crews first available female, friend (after being
refused service at the bar) drinks contents of the spit
bucket. Can't remember what the connection to Pinot Noir
was, but it was a stupid premise and a stupid movie.

Of course, it's JMHO.

I found more to like than you did. Sideways is a movie about failed human
affairs, and the glimmer of redemption.

The wine stuff was really incidental, but satisfying in a way.

It will live on forever Dick I'm afraid.

Every few weeks, then few months some new Sideways viewer will find
their way in here and say the same thing 100 people before them have said.

And every few months some new troll who likes to bait winos on the basis
they are like the guys in Sideways will find their way in here and say
the same thing 100 people before them have said.

How can you kill something that won't bleed? Needs a porterhouse
throught the heart.

Hi all,
I must apologize for this message. I'm an "older gentleman
(usually)" and I might post a highly opinionated and inane
message on occasion, but some of those brain cells aren't
working as well as they used to. :-)

I just saw it a couple of days ago. Yes, I agree. And it did a
very good job of it. I liked it a lot.

Yes. Before seeing it, I had thought the movie was about wine and
wineries, but that's not at all true.

> ... but satisfying in a way.

Yes. It was accurate and not watered down. Very surprising for
Hollywood.
