Default Weirdness

Over the past two nights, I've opened up a couple of bottles of the 2013
Trimbach Pinot Blanc that I got for everyday consumption. Both bottles
were moderately corked, which is weird in the extreme since they're
sealed under screwcap. So, a TCA-tainted barrel at Trimbach, or even
worse an entire facility with TCA contamination?

Eek!

I had the '13 Pinot Blanc and didn't get cork, though on a 1-10 scale of TCA sensitivity I'm probably a 3. Thought it nice if not complex. Will try to open another soon.

Betsy used a cup of this for cooking last night. I tried a bit after dinner, didn't find any TCA aromas. But as noted I'm not especially sensitive.
