Default Haut Bailly

1982 Ch. Haut Bailly - this Graves has developed over the last 5 years to
become a very nice claret with browning edges, a lovely mature Bordeaux nose
(in previous tastings it had resembled a Pinot Noir nose at times) with some
cedar. Smooth and mellow on palate, and with good length. It used to have
slightly high acidity, but is in perfect balance now, and in fact is walking
the line of fruit against the remaining tannins - I would drink it now or in
the near future, as the fruit will soon drop below a level that will offer
quite as much pleasure.
