Default Baron de Oņa GR 1998

Bought it today at the monopoly. Poured in carafe and let it stand for close
to 3 hrs.
[c] Very dark but not opaque.
[n] Prunes, leather, aging, oak. Xina who had it blind first contemplated a
PN but then placed it correctly in Spain, which often means Tempranillo. So
in this case, 95% tempranillo, the rest mazuelo (carignan).
[p] Very accomodating, very smooth, lots of prunes and leather, tannines
velvety - and you could fel some age. Very good pairing with mallard breast
in a spring cabbage envelope and a creamy sauce. At SEK 158, good QPR.

Cheers

Nils
