Default veggie beef broth?-

Hi Karen, I learned that the true French onion soup does not contain any
beef broth - despite most recipes say the contrary+ACE- It was a poor people's
meal and originally consists only of oil, onions, a little bit of flour,
water, salt and pepper, where, when ready, white bread and cheese is put on
top. If you want to improve the taste you simply might add vegetable broth
(home made or from cubes or instant powder) instead of pure water and at the
end some white whine.

Enjoy+ACE-

Regina
